Description

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) intends to award a sole source procurement to SAS Institute, 101 SAS Campus Drive, Cary, NC, 27513. CBP Office of Technology has a requirement for renewal of SAS System for Information Delivery Software Licenses. The SAS software product uniquely provides extensive statistical capabilities that enable analysts to evaluate information for both specialized and enterprise-wide analytical needs. The SAS Institute owns all of the copyrights to this multi-faceted software and controls the source code to its products. In accordance with FAR 6.301 ?Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy Agency requirements?, CBP has determined SAS Institute to be the only firm capable of satisfying the requirements stated above. This notice is neither a request for proposals nor a solicitation for offers. However, any firm that believes it is capable of meeting all the requirements stated herein may submit written qualifications, which if received within 5 calendar days of the date of this announcement, will be considered. Interested firms shall provide detailed information outlining their capabilities ? any response failing to provide the aforementioned data will be disregarded. Responses to this posting must be in writing. A determination not to compete the proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
