- Special notice to award a sole source contract to Motorola Inc. U.S. Federal Government Markets Division, the following items: 24 each portable xts5000 model ii 3x2 keypa. The following accessories/software are included as well: software astro digital cai ope; smartzone system software; enh: project 25 9600 baud trunking; enh: enhanced digital id display; alt: battery impres nimh 1800mah (n; enh: two (2) year express service p; alternate display label; impres smart nimh 2000 mah (1800 mi; charger; impress smart rapid rate; impres multi unit charger, etc. The Defense Reutilization and Marketing Service (DRMS) requires portable radios and associated accessories/software support from Motorola. DRMS requires this support to establish statewide communications/connectivity for emergency services during disasters/emergencies. In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Award will be made to Motorola Inc. U.S. Federal Government Markets Division as they are the manufacturer of the radios and associated accessories/software and are the only source that can provide these items and support. If there are any other firms who can satisfy this requirement, please submit a quote by close of business (4:30 p.m. Eastern Time) September 22, 2005.
