Description: The USDA Forest Service intends to award a stewardship contract for furnishing all labor, supervision, equipment, and transportation required to complete service work such as precommercial thinning, hazardous fuel reduction, and timber stand management on the Parks Ranger District of the Medicine Bow-Routt National Forest/Thunder Basin National Grasslands. It is projected that the work will start in the field season of 2006. Period of performance will be the date of award through September 30, 2008. The work area is accessed by County and Forest Roads on the Parks Ranger District Offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) System. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be published at www.fedbizopps.gov on September 20, 2005, and will state the offer due date.
