- Description
- Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory (PPPL) Reissued on 16 September 2005 Request for Proposals (RFP) 05-061F for the award of a Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee Subcontract for the precision machining of a stainless steel prototype modular coil winding form casting Type M-1 for the Oak Ridge National Laboratory Quasi-Poloidal Stellarator (QPS) Project. The RFP is posted on the PPPL External Web Page at http://www.pppl.gov under Doing Business with PPPL. The casting before machining will weigh about 7,900 pounds and in size is about 83 inches by 68 inches by 63 inches. After machining the winding form should weight about 5,000 pounds. The Vendor selected for Subcontract award must have 5 axis machining capability, ability to work from Pro/Engineer machining models and drawings, the ability to perform measurement of geometrically complex parts and an accounting system acceptable to the Government for accumulating costs under a cost type Subcontract. Proposals are due by 2:00 P.M. (Princeton, NJ local time) Tuesday 18 October 2005
