- This Request for Information (RFI) is for planning purposes only and shall not be considered as an Invitation for Bid (IFB), Request for Quotation (RFQ), or Request for Proposal (RFP) or as an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any products or services. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services is accepting comments on the attached draft Statement of Work (SOW) titled, ?Medicaid Error Rate (MER) Review Contractor.? The RFP is expected to be released no later than October 15. Our intent for this Request for Information (RFI) is to shorten the Question and Answer segment of the solicitation due to time constrains and to allow interested parties the opportunity to strategize and prepare teaming efforts for performing the requirements. Your responses to this RFI will be treated as information only. The information provided may be used by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services in developing its acquisition strategy and in its development of the Statement of Work/Statement of Objectives and Performance Specifications. No entitlement to payment of direct or indirect costs or charges by the Government will arise as a result of contractor submission of responses to this announcement or the Government use of such information. This request does not constitute a solicitation for proposals or the authority to enter into negotiations to award a contract. No funds have been authorized, appropriated, or received for this effort. Interested parties are responsible for adequately marking proprietary or competition sensitive information contained in their response. Responses to this RFI are due by 4:00pm on 26, September 2005 and are to be submitted electronically to both of the following e-mail addresses: Monica.Carter@cms.hhs.gov and Andrea.Casart@cms.hhs.gov.
