- Description
- The USGS Research Chemistry Project within the Crustal Imaging and Characterization Team works to develop and provide access to state-of-the-art chemical analysis hardware and software that can solve unusually difficult problems in the field of analytical geochemistry. The USGS is entering into a Cooperative Research & Development Agreement with PerkinElmer to try to improve the capability of Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometers (ICP-MS) for use in geochemical analyses. This is a notice about a planned research effort. This is not a procurement, the partners in a CRADA contributes funds, equipment, or in-kind services to the planned research and leverages their efforts with those of the federal agency. For information on the science area contact Dr. Paul Lamothe, Project Chief Research Chemistry, (303)236-1923 or visit the website at http://crustal.usgs.gov/. For information on Technology Transfer mechanisms contact Julia Giller, Technology Transfer Officer, (850) 942-9500 ext. 3034 or jgiller@usgs.gov.
