- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has a requirement for a contractor to manage the Agency?s wide range of scientific/medical research needs including the acquisition of serial journals, licensing of electronic access for information resources, and/or the purchase of commercial content information services for EPA staff, on-site contractors, and other parties as needed. The award will be an IDIQ Contract with a 12 month base period and four 12 month option periods. The serial subscriptions may include electronic access only or print copies only, or both, at EPA?s discretion. EPA?s National Library Network facilities the dissemination of information in a wide variety of formats, including print and electronic, to support the research mission of the Agency. The libraries within the EPA?s Network serve as the focal point for access to the Agency?s collection of monographs (books, technical reports, and documents) serials (journals, annuals, and newsletters), conference proceedings, maps, charts, material produced in microform, and electronic information resources. The libraries require access to scientific, biomedical, technical literature, and electronic information resources/products from a wide variety of publishers and content providers throughout the world. The anticipated release date for the solicitation is October 6, 2005. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) No. 511120 Periodical Publishers applies with a size standard of 500 employees. This solicitation will be processed on a full and open competition basis. All responses from responsible contractors will be considered. No further synopses will be issued. Proposals will be due 30 calendar days after the RFP is issued. The solicitation and any subsequent amendments will be available via the World Wide Web at http://www.epa.gov/oam/rtp_cmd only. Hard copies or diskettes will not be available. Telephone and Fax requests will not be honored.
