Description
SEND QUESTIONS CONCERNING THIS SOLICITATION TO POINT OF CONTACT, MR. LOUIE BRACKETT AT FAX: 251-694-3626. THIS PROJECT IS ADVERTISED ON AN UNRESTRICTED BASIS PURSUANT TO THE SMALL BUSINESS COMPETITIVENESS DEMONSTRATION PROGRAM (OPEN TO EVERYONE). THIS PROJECT IS A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP). In general, work will consist of the following: Construct a new three story multi-building 120 person dormitory at Tyndall Air Force Base. This will be the first phase of a 500 person dormitory campus. The 1 20 person dorm requirement is 42,600 square feet. The 120 person requirement is broken down into three, three story dormitory buildings. A one story common building provides central storage, administrative, mail slots, handicapped restrooms, vending and recreation areas. The building components are accompanied by a large landscaped gathering area. These landscaped areas feature pavilion areas with screened gazebos for outdoor gatherings. The design and construction for these dormitories will set the s tandard for future adjacent dormitories and related complexes in the immediate area. Estimated cost range of the project is from $5,000,000 to $10,000,000. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 236220. The purpose o f the conference is to familiarize the bidders with the scope of work, address bidders questions concerning the project, participate in a site visit to become familiar with the existing site conditions, and familiarize the bidders with the Best Value proce ss. Failure to do so shall not relieve offerors from responsibility for estimating properly the difficulty or cost of successfully performing the work. The Government shall assume no responsibility for any understand ing or representations concerning conditions made by any of its officers or agents prior to the execution of the contract, unless included in the Request For Proposals, the specifications, or related documents.
