Description
The National Park Service intends to issue a Prospectus for a concession contract to provide marina services at Curecanti National Recreation Area on September 20, 2005. The Prospectus explains the business opportunity and the terms and conditions under which the National Park Service will award a concession contract. The contract requires the provision of marina fuel service, boat rentals, slip rentals, electrical hookups for 16 slips, rental of equipment related to boats and fishing, boat and engine repair, boat sewage pump out service, dry boat storage, merchandise sales, public showers, food and beverage (including beer and wine) services at a restaurant, boat towing service, and fishing guide service. The contract also authorizes the provision of electrical hookups for an additional 44 slips, boat launch and retrieval services, boat washing, rental of non-power water toys (tubes, water skis, and wet suits), and overnight guided fishing trips. The Director, pursuant to 36 C.F.R. Part 51, has determined that the existing concessioner is not a preferred offeror for the contract. The Prospectus will be issued on September 21, 2005, under the terms described in the Prospectus, with proposals due no later than 4:00 p.m. on Friday, December 2, 2005. Proposal must be received by the Acting Chief of Concessions, Intermountain Region, National Park Service, 12795 West Alameda Parkway, Lakewood, Colorado 80228 no later than seventy (70) days after the release of the Prospectus in order to be evaluated and considered for award of the concession contract to provide these services. There is a printing cost recovery charge of $35 per copy to be delivered via Federal Express or $30 per copy if picked up in person. Persons interested in obtaining a Prospectus should mail or bring in person a check or money order (NO CASH SALES) made payable to the National Park Service. You must include a business address (no post office box) and telephone number to receive a Federal Express package. Persons wishing to pick up a Prospectus in person can obtain a Prospectus at Concessions, Intermountain Region, National Park Service, 12795 West Alameda Parkway, Lakewood, Colorado during business hours of 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
