Description

The Naval Oceanographic Office located at Stennis Space Center, Mississippi, intends to issue a sole source award to Sea-Bird Electronics, Bellevue, Washington, under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c) and in accordance with FAR 6.302-1. The requirement is in accordance with a Statement of Work that describes the purchase of 19 Plus conductivity, temperature, and depth (CTD) systems manufactured by Sea-Bird Electronics. This action will be conducted utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with FAR 12 Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR 13.5 Test Program for Certain commercial Items. A firm-fixed price purchase order is anticipated. The NAICS Code is 334519 with a Business Size of 500 employees. This synopsis is published for informational purposes only and is not a request for competitive offers. Any inquires concerning this requirement are to be submitted in writing to the Contracting Officer. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. See Note 22.
