Description

The dental laboratory requires renovation to support Dental Care Optimization (DCO) operations. The lab will be required to support a workload of 6 technicians and 2 dentists. The lab will require extensive renovations that will be provided by MDG resources. A vendor is needed to provide and install casework units to support DCO operations. Casework will require power, gas & air outlets to support laboratory production requirements. Also 4 areas will require large stainless steel sinks. The workstations where production is conducted is divided into 3 areas consisting of 9 individual workstations that require access to overhead lighting, exhaust, ( to capture dust particles generated during fabrication) propane gas, air and drawers deep enough to hold supplies/equipment.. Electrical outlets will be required to run the full length of the workstations. Each station should have easy access to a minimum of 4 outlets. Cabinets must be durable and heat resistant. Fabrication includes the use of open flames for long durations. resting on the cabinet countertops. Laboratory fabrication is a unique process that is similar to a machine shop but has the same infection control protocol associated with a patient care environment. Items are actually removed from oral cavities and require disinfecting before technicians make adjustments or staining/repair of appliances. This area is the only location where this process is completed. Vendor's ability to quickly assemble/install and make operational is critical.
