Description
This is a combined synopsis and solicitation for the following commercial items: Statement of Work Repair of Existing Chemetron CARDOX 12.5 Ton System 1. Description of Work: 1.1 The contractor shall provide all personnel, tools, equipment, materials, supervision and other items necessary to replace the isolation valve, spool piece and the refrigeration unit on the existing CARDOX System located at Bldg 9310 at Tyndall AFB, Fl 1.2 All equipment and material shall be compatible and acceptable with the Chemetron Corp. 1.3 Perform an internal inspection. 1.3.1 The internal inspection shall be accomplished through the hatchway provided in the tank. 1.3.2 Any condensation or F.O.D. found in the tank shall be removed and disposed of according to federal, state and local laws.. 1.3.3 The tank shall be dried and sealed to Chemetron standards prior to removal of the valve and refrigeration unit. 1.4 Removal and installation of isolation valve and spool piece. 1.4.1 The isolation valve shall be replaced with a wafer type valve. 1.4.2 The spool piece shall be installed according to Chemetron standards. 1.5 Removal and installation of the refrigeration units. 1.5.1 The Freon in the R-12 refrigeration (original unit) and the R-134A refrigeration unit shall be recovered and disposed of according to all federal, state and local laws. 1.5.2 The R-12 refrigeration unit and the R-134A refrigeration unit shall be removed and disposed of according to all federal, state and local laws. 1.5.3 A 704550 2HP R-404 3 PHASE 60 HZ refrigeration unit shall be installed in the original compartment where the R-12 refrigeration unit was located. 1.5.4 The installation shall meet those standards established by Chemetron. 1.6 Filling holding tank with CO2. 1.6.1 The tank shall be purged prior to filling.. 1.6.2 The tank shall be pressure tested and checked for leaks prior to filling. 1.6.3 The contractor shall provide the 12.5 tons of CO2 and fill the holding tank. 2. Personnel/Qualifications: 2.1 Contract Manager: The contractor shall provide an individual to serve as Contract Manager/Chemetron Rep. The Contract Manager/Chemetron Rep. is responsible for any work performed. The name of this person and an alternate, if any, shall be provided to the 325th Contracting Squadron. 2.2 Employees: The government is authorized to restrict the employment under this contract of any contractor employee, or respective contractor employee who is identified as a potential threat to the health, safety security, general well being, or operational mission of these facilities and/or its patrons. 2.3 All contractors shall present a neat and professional appearance. Dress shall be Appropriate work attire. The contractor shall be easily identifiable by uniform or identification badges/tags. FOB: Destination for delivery to Tyndall AFB, FL 32403 This synopsis and solicitation is prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a request for quote (RFQ). Submit written offers (oral offers will not be accepted), on RFQ F3V5K15227A100. North American Industrial Classification Standard 337214, Size Standard :500 Emp, applies to this procurement.IAW FAR 252.204-7004, all firms or individuals responding must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-14 and Defense Acquisition Circular 91-13.
