Description
AFDW/A7KS, Washington, D.C., intends to award a sole source training conference contract to the National Conference Center, Landsdowne VA., in support of the Air Force Inspector General Training Course and Worldwide Conference. The proposed contract action is for six, 1-week conferences hosting up to 50 students with 10 training personnel and a worldwide conference hosting 300 total attendees. Conference facility must be in a remote, 24-hour security patrolled area within a 30-mile radius of a major international airport. The center must include A/V equipment for complex multimedia presentations, 3 seminar break-out rooms, 20-student computer lab, administrative office with high speed copier and communication capabilities, conference and storage services, on sight lodging, all meals provided, a fitness/recreation center, and transportation from the airport. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. The period covers 01 October 2005 through 30 September 2006. Award will be made on or about 27 Sept 2005. This acquisition will be a Firm-Fixed Price award. The NAICS Code assigned to this requirement is 541611 with a size standard of $6,000,000.00. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received within 5 days after date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No telephone inquiries will be accepted.
