Description

The Office of Thrift Supervision (OTS) intends to issue a non-competitive purchase order, utilizing the simplified acquisition procedures, to Dr. William Handorf of Bethesda, Maryland. Dr. Handorf will develop and instruct a Basel II Training Course for OTS?s examination staff using classroom instruction. The course will focus on those areas of Basel II having the greatest impact on OTS regulated thrift institutions. Some of the issues to be covered in the training are: the foundation of Basel II, capital and Basel II, credit risk, operational risk, and corporate governance. The course is schedule to be held in the first quarter of calendar year 2006. Any responsible interested firm with proven instructional experience in the financial regulatory area as well as instructions on Basel II can submit information for review and consideration. The outcome of such a review and the decision whether to develop a solicitation rests solely with the Office of Thrift Supervision. There is currently no solicitation available.
