Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format at FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number for this Request for Quotations (RFQ)is JFK05MR017. The following clauses are incorporated into this RFQ by reference & are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 2005-05, Effective on August 26, 2005. The following clauses apply: FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items, FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, FAR 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items, FAR 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes Or Executive Orders-Commercial Items. The clauses may be printed from the electronic Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) web site: http://www.acqnet.gov/far/ This requirement is Set-Aside for Small Business. The NAICS code is 332911 with a small business size standard of 500 employees. The solicitation will result as a fixed price service order. The service contract wage decision number is 1994-2103 revision 34. This project is for The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts located at 2700 F Street NW in Washington DC 20566. The contractor is required to submit the following to be considered for this award; Contractor total cost for services on line item 0001, Completed Representation and Certifications, and three contact names with phone numbers of work experiences of similar nature to this requirement. The performance period is 92 work days from date of award. In order to minimize noise and disruption of the work day, performance is restricted from midnight to 6:00am Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays as listed on www.opm.gov Line Item 0001 The contractor is to provide the required skilled labor, equipment, supplies and materials deemed necessary for domestic water valve replacement. The domestic water system consists of the main house pumping systems, hot water heating equipment, water piping distribution systems, related valves, fittings, fixtures, and accessories. A security clearance is required prior to contractor personnel working on site. The contractor is to provide a minimum of three references proving experiences of similar nature with your quote. The referenced personnel you intend to use on this project must have plumbing licensure credentials prior to performance. The contractor shall use an on-site quality control person throughout the duration of the project. The awarded contractor shall provide as-built drawings through the use of auto CAD in addition to one valve chart preferred to be prepared using Microsoft Excel 2000 software. The contractor is required to perform in accordance with The National Standard Plumbing Code. Pipe and valve insulation shall comply with the methods of Midwest Insulation Contractors Association (MICA). The project specifications are to replace 92 existing valves with Hammond Valve Corporation, series 8911 brass ball valves, same or equal; install, insulate, tag and test the replaced 92 valves. There are 52 one-inch valves and 40 two-inch valves. The 92 Ball Valves installing shall have a forged brass body and tailpiece, two-piece, full port ends soldered lead free for pressure ratings 600 PSIG WOG/150 PSIG SWP. In addition, install approximately one-inch glass fiber insulation with vapor barrier coating at each valve location, and replace existing valve tags on the valves with 92 new stainless steel valve tags and chains using Seton Identification Products, product numbers 69507 and 77508, same or equal. A final testing inspection shall be performed prior to close out. Minimum storage space will be provided. The contractor shall attend a Post Award meeting prior to start working on this project. Paid parking is available in the John F. Kennedy Center garage. Large vehicle parking must be coordinated in advance. Award will be based upon contractor that can meet specifications, price, and delivery terms. All responsible and responsive contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration database (CCR) in order to be considered eligible for award.
