Description
Amendment No. 1 to the combined synopsis/solicitation. The purpose of this amendment is to provide additional information for CLINs 0001 through 0003 and to delete CLIN 0004 and to answer questions listed below. 5. This solicitation contains three line items as follows: CLIN 0001: Brand Name Pelican 1750 with standard black foam insert, not custom, qty 50 each; CLIN 0002: Brand Name Pelican Printer Case1660, with standard black foam insert, not custom, qty 8 each; CLIN 0003: Brand Name Pelican Laptop Computer Case 1490 CC#1, with standard black foam insert, not custom, qty 8 each. Questions and Answers: 1. CLIN 0001 - Is there a custom insert in this case? The Government requires the standard black foam insert, not a custom insert. 2. CLIN 0002 - Is there a custom foam insert to accommodate a specific printer for the 1660 and if so, what brand and model number are the printers? The Government requires the standard black foam insert, not a custom insert. 3. CLIN 0003 - The 1490 computer case is available in different configurations based on the size of the notebook being utilized and various accessories. The Government requires the Pelican Laptop Computer Case 1490 CC#1, with the standard black foam insert, not a custom insert. 4. CLIN 0004 - Pelican does not manufacture a custom case with the dimensions stated. This line item has been deleted from this request for quote. 1. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a written solicitation will not be issued. 2. Reference number F1D3645243A600 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). 3. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-05. This is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. If there is no offer received from a small business concern, this acquisition for small business set-aside may be dissolved and the acquisition open to all responsive bidders. NOTE: This acquisition will not be reposted to the Electronic Posting System if the acquisition is dissolved for 100% small business consideration. The NAIC code is 423840 and the size standard is 500 Employees. 5. This solicitation contains four line items as follows: CLIN 0001: Brand Name Pelican 1750 with insert, qty 50 each; CLIN 0002: Brand Name Pelican Printer Case1660, qty 8 each; CLIN 0003: Brand Name Pelican Laptop Computer Case 1490, qty 8 each; CLIN 0004: Brand Name Pelican Custom Case, Size: 48.5 inches long X 23 inches wide X 18.5 inches high, qty 1 each. 6. Delivery Date: 60 days after receipt of order. Place of Performance: Contractor’s place of business. FOB: Destination 7. The provision at FAR 52.212.1, Instructions to Offerors, applies to this acquisition. Multiple offerors and awards are hereby deleted from this solicitation. All quotes must be for all items, as stated, partial quotes will not be considered. Award will be made to a single vendor. All inquiries or questions pertaining to this solicitation must be submitted in writing by the concerned party at least 2 business days prior to closing date. 8. The provision at FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation of Commercial Items applies. Price is the only evaluation factor. Addendum to Paragraph (a), The Government will award a purchase order resulting from this RFQ to the most responsive, responsible offers whose offer represents the best value in terms of the following factors in descending order. Price: Offers will be evaluated for completeness, reasonableness and competitiveness. An offeror’s proposed price would be determined by multiplying the quantities identified in the pricing schedule by the proposed fixed unit price by contractor line item number to confirmed the extended amount. The Government reserves the right to enter into an agreement with other than lowest offeror. The government intends to enter into an agreement without discussions, nevertheless, the government may communicate with an offeror in order to clarify or verify information submitted in its offer. 9. Offerors must submit representations and certifications in accordance with the provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representation and Certifications Commercial, with its offer. FAR 52.212-3 can be downloaded from the internet: http://farsite.hill.af.mil/. Offerors that fail to furnish the required representation information, or reject the terms and conditions of the solicitation, may be excluded from consideration. DFARS 252.212-7000 Offeror Representations and Certifications - Commercial Items (Nov 1995); and DFARS 252.225-7000, Buy American Act-Balance Payment Program Certificate (Apr 2003) with the quotation. 10.
