Description
The Division of Cancer Control and Population Sciences (DCCPS), of the National Cancer Institute (NCI) is seeking a Data Coordinating Center (DCC) to manage the Cancer Genetics Network (CGN) that will provide data coordinating services and manage subcontracts for up to fifteen individual CGN Centers. The CGN is an NCI-sponsored research infrastructure comprising a multi-site registry of persons with cancer or at high risk of cancer and their families. The CGN and its database are a research resource for investigations on the genetics of cancer and other related issues. Currently, the CGN has over 24,000 enrollees in its recruitment pool, representing more than 16,000 families on whom a wide variety of data have been collected. The DCC will maintain the CGN enrollee database and provide research support for its use in a high-quality, timely, and cost-efficient manner. Other subcontractors (OSC) with IRB approval to access CGN enrollees and/or their data may be proposed as the DCC deems necessary. The DCC shall be responsible for the following: (1) Integrate, transmit, process, maintain, and secure data and databases; (2) Subcontract with CGN Centers; (3) Provide HIPAA and IRB compliant access to investigators seeking CGN data and assist investigators? planning studies; (4) On a fee for service basis provide data collection services for epidemiology and clinical studies and conduct clinical studies/trails that may require Adverse Event Reporting (per FDA guidelines); and (5) Undertake administrative functions. The Government anticipates that one (1) contract will be awarded on a Cost Reimbursement, incrementally funded basis, for a period of five (5) years and two one-year options. This acquisition has been designated as full and open competition under NAICS 519190 with a size standard of $6 million.
