- HQ Air Mobility Command (AMC) has a requirement to add an additional cargo storage yard, a Prior Permission Request (PPR) program, and Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) tagging requirement to its Air Terminal and Ground Handling Services in Kuwait. This out of scope work will be added to Contract FA4428-04-C0002 with Maytag Aircraft Corporation,6145 Lehman Drive, Colorado Springs CO 80918 under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), Only One Responsible Source. Maytag is the current contractor for Air Terminal and Ground Handling Services (ATGHS)in Kuwait. They provide all services required to support a maximum working Mission on the Ground (MOG) requirement of six wide-body aircraft or the equivalent therof, facilitate on-time aircraft departures, and provide ATGHS for all US Government owned or operated aircraft and US sponsored foreign government aircraft including Coalition Forces Aircraft at KWI. The additional workload, air outbound originating cargo, is an integral part of the existing contract. It is essential to have one entity responsible for processing, handling, manifesting, and providing intransit visibility for air cargo handling service in and outbound to ensure proper management of the cargo backlog and available airlift.
