Description

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) plans to award a sole source purchase order to MTS Systems Corp., Eden Prairie, MN to provide preventive, routine, and repair maintenance and calibration of Mechanical Test Lab and Composite Test Lab equipment. Equipment to be maintained under this contract includes: 1 Each of 20 Kip Load, Elber s/n 3815; 500 lb Load; 1 Kip Load, RSL 24661; 20 Kip Load Frame 6; LVDT Frame 6; 200 Kip Load Instron 8800; 2 Each of 7 Kip Load, horiz 3 s/n 845449, horiz 4 s/n 845450; 50 Kip Load Paris s/n 1224, Irwin s/n 1870; 10 Kip Load Paris s/n 1210, Irwin s/n 1210; 20 Kip Load HVHT-1 s/n V53437, HVHT-2 s/n V100496; 7 Kip Load Horz-1 s/n 3789, Horz-1 s/n 3806; 3 Each of 10 Kip Load, surface INT s/n 1445 (site 506914), RSL tension s/n 48856; 20 Kip Load Frame 4; 20 Kip Load Frame 5; 5.5 Kip High Frequency s/n 108329. MTS is the original and sole manufacturer for the equipment to be maintained under this purchase order. As the designer, developer and sole manufacturer of the equipment listed in paragraph one of this synopsis, MTS has proprietary rights and patents and is the only firm with the unique knowledge and technical expertise required to properly maintain the equipment. The estimated period of performance for this effort is October 2005 to September 2006. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS.
