- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation ; quotations are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number N68836-05-T-0214 applies and is issued as a Request for Quotation. This procurement is set aside for small business 02. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-26 and Defense Acquisition Circular 91-19. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 334516 and the business size standard is 500. Fleet Contracting Center, Naval Air Station Jacksonville Fl intends to purchase on a SOLE SOURCE BASIS the following line items X-MET 3000TX HANDHELD ALLOY ANALYZER (1 EACH ) P/N: 4103463 FOR THE ELEMENTAL ANALYSIS OF METALS, FOR THE PURPOSE OF ALLOY IDENTIFICATION AND/OR CHEMISTRY DETERMINATION. INCLUDING A HP IPAQ PDA WITH WINDOWS CE OPERATING SYSTEM, A COLOR TFT DISPLAY WITH TOUCH SCREEN. THE SPECTRA AND RESULTS MAY BE STORED ON THE PDA AND DOWNLOADED VIA ACTIVESYNC USING AN S-BUS CONNECTION OR WIRELESS BLUETOOTH COMMUNICATION. THE XRF ANALYZER INCLUDES A MINIATURE X-RAY TUBE AND 40KV HV SUPPLY AND A HIGH RESOLUTION SIPIN DETECTOR AND THE ACCESSORIES. THE CALIBRATION SHOULD BE FACTORY PROGRAMMED ALLOY FOR ID AND ASSAY. FOR LOW ALLOY; TOOL STEELS; STAINLESS STEEL; NICKEL ALLOYS; COBALT ALLOYS; COPPER ALLOYS; ALUMINUM ALLOYS AND TITANIUM ALLOYS. IT SHOULD BE ABLE TO DO VACUUM CALIBRATION FOR ID AND ASSAY OF TITANIUM ALLOYS INCLUDING ASSAY FOR AL AND THE SAME FOR ALUMINUM ALLOYS INCLUDING ASSAY FOR Mg, Al & Si. ALSO INCLUDE A TUBE ADAPTOR FOR X-MET 300TX (1 EACH) P/N: 4103451. The following provisions and clauses apply: Provision 52.252-1 Solicitation Provisions Incorporated by Reference. Parties responding to this solicitation may submit their offer in accordance with their standard commercial practices (e.g. on company letterhead, formal quote form, etc.) but must include the following information: 1) company?s complete mailing and remittance addresses, 2) discounts for prompt payment if applicable 3) cage code, 4) Dun & Bradstreet number, 5) Taxpayer ID number. Offerors shall include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3 , Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items with their offer. The Government intends to make a single award to the eligible, responsible offeror whose offer conforms to the solicitation, and is the most advantageous to the Government considering price and price-related factors.
