Description

Subject to final approval, the Bureau of the Public Debt, on behalf of Department of the Treasury Office of Inspector General (OIG) intends to acquire on a sole-source basis through Vogon International LLC, 2600 Van Buren Street, Suite 2625, Norman, OK 73072, a Vogon Laboratory Based Forensic Workstation which includes Imaging, Processing, and Investigation Software with Vbus, Remote Pods, Password Cracker Pod, and training. Vogon International is the only manufacturer of their forensic workstation and proprietary hardware and software. Training is unique to the software and hardware. This system is designed specifically to adhere to the criteria of Federal Rules of Evidence for the United States Courts and Magistrates. The Government intends to solicit only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Services are being solicited and awarded as a commercial item in accordance with FAR 13.5. This notice of intent is not a request for quote. NO SOLICITATION DOCUMENT IS AVAILABLE. A request for more information or a copy of the solicitation will not be considered an affirmative response. Written responses shall be accompanied by sufficient documentation to clearly show the ability to provide the requirement at terms more advantageous to the Government. Public Debt will consider all written responses received no later than 2:00 p.m. EDT, September 27, 2005. If no written response is received that clearly demonstrates the ability to meet all requirements and that it is more advantageous to the Government, we will make a sole-source award to Vogon International LLC. No telephone inquiries will be accepted.
