- Description
- Customs and Border Protection (CBP) requires IBM software licenses and maintenance enterprise-wide. This acquisition is in support of CBP?s National Data Center. The contractor shall provide IBM software licenses and maintenance on CBP?s mainframe and distributed systems. A complete list of CBP?s mainframe and distributed systems can be found in Section 9 of the attached Solicitation. The required services have been determined to meet the definition of commercial items in accordance with Part 2.101 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). In accordance with Part 19 of the FAR, this procurement has been deemed a total 8(a) set-aside. As such, competition will be limited exclusively to small business concerns expressly certified by the Small Business Administration (SBA) for participation in the SBA?s 8(a) Program. The NAICS Code identified for this procurement is 423430. The resultant contract will be a fixed-price contract that includes a base period, November 1, 2005 through March 31, 2006, plus up to four 12-month renewal options. The solicitation is attached.
