Description

PLEASE READ SOLICITATION IN ITS ENTIRETY. NO FURTHER QUESTIONS AND/OR QUOTES WILL BE TAKEN AFTER DEADLINE; 28 SEPTEMBER 2005 at 2:00 pm. Training program to familiarize several internal groups with a standard method of floor measurement in commerical office spaces. The course should address the following topics and issues: (1)Discuss the theory and concepts associated with floor measurement and how it's commonly used with the commercial building industry. (2)Common definitions used in floor measurement. (3)Common calculations for measuring floor area, to determine common areas, storage areas, etc. (4)Strategies for applying concepts and theory of floor measurement to embassy design - special needs uses of embassy. (5)Course may also address elements of industrial floor measurement standard, as embassy design includes areas for utility plants. (6)Course will address strategies for dealing with retail areas included in standard embassy design. (7)Course will discuss how floor measurements are used in leasing commercial space, and note relevant applications for OBO use. (8)Course can make use of floor plans provided by OBO as part of classroom exercises, should OBO wish to include them. Course instruction should be delivered on the following dates: 31 October 2005 and repeated on 1 November 2005.
