Description
NOAA?s Marine Operations Center ? Pacific has a requirement to provide all supervision, material and labor necessary to complete repairs and modifications to the NOAA Ship FAIRWEATHER. At the option of the successful offeror, all work is to be performed pierside at the Marine Operations Center, Seattle or the successful offeror?s facility. Performance period to commence approximately January 16, 2006 and complete on or before February 24, 2006. Work will include, but not be limited to Refurbish Elevator, Overhaul the MSD (all new controllers), C09 Drain Replacement, Modify Boiler Feed & Condensate Systems, Install Net Room A/C, Install Boat Access Catwalks, Modify Davit #3 & #4 Foundations, Complete DWS Winch Installation, Fantail Mods, Aft Crane Hydraulic Piping Re-Route, Stbd CPP Sump Tank Repair, UPS Backup Power Mod, Industrial Support for Welin Lambie, Laundry Power Mod, Replace the High Cap Washer, Convert CPP Feedback to Temposonics, Blank Off Piping to A-06-101 and A-06-102 (Loc Ring Caps and blank flanges), Replace Clogged Stbd Reduction Gear LO Cooler Discharge PP, Inflatable Lifeboat Inspection and Certification, Install Welin Lambie Davit Loss of Power Alarms, Replace Main Engine Expansion Joints. The vessel will be available for inspection on or about October 14 ? 17, 2005 at the Ship?s home port in Ketchikan, AK, October 28 ? 31, 2005 in Juneau, AK or be arranged by calling the vessel?s port engineer, Ron Daum, at (206)553?1492. Vessel particulars are: Overall Length ? 231? 0?, Beam Molded ? 42? 0?, Draft Design ? 13? 0?, Depth to Main Deck ? 20? 0?, Displacement ? (FL) 1620 LT, Displacement ? (LS) 1428 LT, Shafts ? 2, Speed Sustained ? 12 knots. All responsible sources may submit a bid for consideration. A request for bid will be issued on or about October 15, 2005.
