Description

Notice of Intent to award a Sole Source Procurement. The Government intends to issue a sole source purchase order for a Taclane Encryptor to General Dynamics, C4 Systems Inc., 77 A Street, Needham, MA 02494-2806 . Encryption standards for encryption equipment are mandated by the Federal Government and General Dynamics, C4 Division is the only approved vendor. The Cryptographic KG 175 TACLANE E-100 encryptor is required for USSTRATCOM to satisfy mission requirements. The 55th Contracting Squadron intends to award a purchase order by other than full and open competition in accordance with Subpart 6.302-1 (a)(2)(ii). Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination not to compete this proposed procurement was made because General Dynamics, C4 Systems Inc. is the only acceptable supplier of the Cryptographic KG 175 TACLANE E-100 encryptor, per Federal Government mandate.
