Description

This serves as a "Notice of Intent" to issue a purchase order under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures to Johnson Controls, Lynnfield, MA on a sole source basis to purchase a software/hardware upgrade to the Metasys Operator Workstation. This document incorporates provisions and clauses that are in effect though Federal Acquisition Circular Fac 2005-4 effective 8 June 2005. The Government intends to award a contract for the following line item: --Furnish and install a new Metasys Operator Workstation, complete with 17" LCD monitor and a new licensed copy of Johnson Controls' Metasys PMI software. --Furnish and install One (1) Metasys Ethernet router and hub to enable communication over building's Ethernet system --Review all programming in controllers and modify as required. Then monitor changes. All work will be scheduled during normal business hours. --Provide Four (4) inspections of the Metasys system, at equal intervals during the calendar year, inspections to be billed upon completion --Provide customer with written report upon the completion of each inspection with recommendations for any required repairs. This requirement is determined to be available from only one source because of the unique features of the upgrade and proprietary nature of the system itself. No formal request will be issued for this procurement. All potential offerors should contact the buyer/PCO identified in this notice for additional information and/or to communicate concerns, if any, concerning this acquisition.
