- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This combined synopsis/solicitation, W52H09-05-T-0608, is issued as a Request for Quote. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-05, effective 27 July 2005. This requirement is for 3 Sets of Tool Loads, as delineated in the Tool Load List at Addendum 001. The Tool Load listing specifies items by name and commercial part numbers. These part numbers are representative examples of items that meet the requiremen ts. Contractors may propose these part numbers or functionally equivalent from other manufacturers. However, in order to insure proper interface, a contractor's proposal must have items of bulk hose (all sizes), hose ends (all sizes), and hose crimper(s) all from the same manufacturer. Market Research has revealed that utilizing a hose, hose end, and crimper all from the same manufacturer insures that manufactured hose assembly is sufficient and safe. This is a rated order certified for national defense use, and you are required to follow all the provisions or the Defense Priorities and Allocations System regulation (15 CFR 700). This order is rated DOC9. Delivery schedule will be 10 days after award of the contract. Shipment of the 3 Tool Load Sets will be FOB Destination to Rock Island Arsenal, Rock Island, IL. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible low offeror whose offer, conforming to the solicitation, will be most advantageous to the Government. Any amendments to this combined synopsis/solicitation can be found there as well. Quoters/offerors are required to submit their quotes for this combined synopsis/solicitation via electronic response on the TACOM-RI Business Opportunities, Open Solicitations web page, or via fax to (309)782-2047. Quotes/offers to the Government shall be signed by a Member of the Firm Authorized to Bind the Company. This is in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 4.102. CAUTION: Since this combined synopsis/solicitation and any future amendments are being issued through FedBizOps, it is incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access FedBizOps in order to obtain any amendments which may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for receipt of quotes may render your quote non-responsive and result in rejection of your quote.
