Description

The VA North Texas Health Care System (VANTHCS) intends to negotiate a sole source contract for services maintenance to support the IMPAX system developed by AGFA Corporation for full services coverage for hardware and software maintenance on the Picture Archival Communications System (PACS) with AGFA Corporation, 100 Challenger Road, Ridgefield Park, NJ 07660-2219. The government believes that AGFA Corporation is the only manufacture that will satisfy the agency requirements. NAICS 541511. This is sole source procurement under the simplified acquisition procedures and other than full and open competition (FAR 6.302-1). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within (ten) 10 calendar days from the date of publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail, to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. Information can be sent to the Contracting Officer, VAMC, 4500 South Lancaster Road, Bldg. 8, Dallas, Texas 75216 or via fax to (214) 302-1416. Responses received will be evaluated however; a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the VA North Texas Health Care System will proceed with the sole source negotiation with the AGFA Corporation.
