Description
This procurement is set aside for Small Business Concerns Only. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) intends to issue a firm fixed price purchase order. The purchase order will cover the dry dock repairs of NOAA Ship GLORIA MICHELLE. Provide all labor, material and equipment necessary to perform the following (including, but not limited to): Base Items - Drydocking and Routine Drydocking Work, Underwater Hull Painting, Ultrasonic Hull Gauge Testing, Zinc Anode Replacement, Potable Water Tank Preservation, Hull Valve Overhaul and Test, Keel Cooler Servicing, Temporary Services. Option Items ?Multibeam Installation and Netmind Transducer Installation. Additional option items will be included for growth work (labor hours and material). The performance period is 21 calendar days, with an anticipated start date of November 15, 2005 and completion date of December 5, 2005. Anticipated award date is November 1, 2005. Site/inspection period is set for October 17-21, 2005. Arrangements to attend site visits shall be coordinated with the Andy Hall, Commanding Officer, at 908-309-3526. The GLORIA MICHELLE is 72 feet long and its homeport is 166 Waters Street, Woods Hole, MA 02543. It is NOAAs intent to conduct this procurement in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, and FAR Subpart 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. This procurement is being issued as a 100% Small Business set-aside in accordance with FAR 52.219-6. The NAIC code is 336611 and the small business size standard is 1,000 employees. The simplified acquisition will be issued based on price and price related factors (cost to transit), on or about October 7, 2005 with quotes due on or about October 26, 2005. Quotes may be submitted via e-mail to Ms. Sampson. The RFQ will be issued via electronic posting at Federal Business Opportunity (FEDBIZOPPS) web page www.eps.gov. Hard copies of the RFQ will not be issued. It is incumbent upon contractors to monitor FEDBIZOPS for the release of the RFQ, specification, drawings and all subsequent amendments.
