Description
The United States Secret Service (USSS) intends to negotiate a base and four one year options a sole source basis with Johns Hopkins University, Department of Emergency Medicine, 600 North Wolfe Street, Marburg B-180, Baltimore Maryland to provide an emergency medical director and related services. The emergency medical director must be a Maryland State licensed physician with a board certification in emergency medicine. Additionally, the vendor will provide both domestic and international on-line medical direction and consulting services to emergency medical technicians, paramedics and other designated Secret Service personnel on a 24x7 basis through an international access telephone service; provide a clinical admission site with a minimum level one trauma center in the Baltimore Washington metropolitan area that additionally supports emergency medicine training programs; and provide up to 350 hours of online training and direction for First Responders, EMT (Basic, Intermediate, Paramedic and RN), and automatic external defibrillator training and operations. This notice is neither a request for proposals nor a solicitation of offers. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with one source in accordance with FAR 6.302. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement is within the sole discretion of the Government. No formal solicitation package is available. All responses to this notice must be in writing and received within three (3) calendar days of receipt of this notice. The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred in the preparation of a response to this notice. See Note 22. Note 22 is amended to substitute three (3) days in lieu of thirty days (30) days.
