Description
The U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command, Product Manager for the Test Equipment Modernization Program (PM-TEMOD) is responsible for the acquisition of the state-of-the-art, commercial/non-developmental general purpose test equipment. The new equipme nt will be used to standardize the inventory and replace existing obsolete test equipment. A draft specification has been developed for a Signal Generator that will replace 4 items in the Army inventory with one Signal Generator. The items to be replaced are the SG-1207/U (NSN 6625-01-233-8615), SG-1207A/U (NSN 6625-01-436-9449), SG-1112(V)1/U (NSN 6625-00-566-3067), and SG-1112(V)2/U (6625-00-500-6525). The Signal Generator will be a bench top model that operates over the frequency range of 250 Khz to 2 G hz. The signal generator will be capable of sourcing Carrier wave, Sweep, Amplitude, Frequency, Pulse, VOR, ILS, and Phase Modulation. A questionnaire has been developed to assist the Government in defining the final purchase description/specification by providing information about the technical capabilities of available commercial/non-development Radio Test Set. No decision has been made at this time as to the type of procurement, i.e. full and open competition versus small business set-aside. Interested contractors may request a draft purchase description/specification and questionnaire by contacting Dennis A. Buckmeir, by email dennis.buckmeir@redstone.army.mil. Request for a draft purchase description/specification and questionnaire should be made no later than 14 Oct 05.
