Description
The Government intends to award a firm fixed price contract for bullet-resistant body armor fragmentation vests, external assault shells and helmets for Commander Navy Region Mid-Atlantic. Delivery is FOB Destination to Norfolk, VA; Portsmouth, VA; Yorktown, VA; Wallops Island, VA and Mechanicsburg, PA. The NAICS is 315991. The FSC is 8470. Please note that there is the requirement for descriptive literature and product samples. Offerors are required to submit with their quotes descriptive literature and product samples of the proposed fragmentation vest/external assault shell carrier, helmet and ballistic panel and complete mailing information (i.e., FedEx, UPS, etc.) for return of product samples after evaluation. The Solicitation will be available on or about 8 July 2005 by downloading the documents at http://www.neco.navy.mil or http://www.fedbizopps.gov. The closing date for receipt of quotes is 22 July 2005, 1600 EST. The Solicitation and any subsequent a! mendments will ONLY be available for download at the above sites; this office will no longer issue hard copy solicitations. By submitting a quote, the offeror is self-certifying that neither the principal corporate officials or owners are currently suspended, debarred or otherwise ineligible to receive contracts from any federal agency. Failure to do so may represent grounds for refusing to accept the offer. By submission of an offer, the contractor acknowledges the requirement that a prospective awardee must be registered in the CCR database prior to award, during performance, and through final payment of any contract resulting from this solicitation, except for awards to foreign vendors for work to be performed outside the United States. Lack of registration in the CCR database will make a contractor ineligible for award. Contractors may obtain information on registration and annual confirmation requirements by calling 1-888-227-2423, or via the Internet at http://www! .ccr.gov.
