Description
General Services Administration intends to establish a firm fixed priced type contract for solid waste collection services at the Denver Federal Center, Jefferson County, Lakewood, Colorado. There are a total of 26 buildings. Within these 26 buildings there are 46 different locations where 60 containers are to be placed. The containers are of various sizes, ranging from 2 Cubic yard to 10 Cubic yard, with the majority of the containers being of the 6 Cubic yard size. Most of the containers would be picked up on a daily basis with one of them being picked up weekly and four of them picked up twice per month. The performance period for this contract is for twelve (12) months with four (4) one-year option periods, beginning April 1, 2006. Last Contractor: Incumbent. Incumbent contract price: $121,921.80 per annum. A synopsis and subsequent solicitation should be available during January 2006. Interested parties may access the solicitation at http://www.fedbizopps.gov after it is issued. This site provides instructions for downloading the solicitation file. It is the offerors responsibility to monitor this site for the release of the solicitation, any amendments and additional information. This acquisition will be issued IAW FAR Part 12, Acquisition of commercial Items and FAR Part 15, contracting by Negotiations. In conformance with FAR 19.13, this acquisition is being considered for set-aside for HubZone set aside. If your firm is HUB Zone and intends to propose on this acquisition, please provide the following information to the Contracting Specialist no later than October 21, 2006: 1. SBA certification HUBZone eligibility. 2. Capability statement for firm and intention to place an offer on this solicitation. 3. Provide three past performance references for same services. Based on the responses, the Contracting Officer will make a determination whether to set this procurement aside under the HUBZone program. If there is not a reasonable expectation of adequate competition as a HUBZone set-aside, the acquisition will be conducted under 100% small business set-aside. NAICS Code 562111 - Solid Waste Collection, Size Standard $10.5 million. This project is being procured using source selection procedures which will result in a firm-fixed price award to the offeror who provides the best value to the government.
