- NASA/KSC plans to issue a Sole-Source Request for Proposal Quotation (RFQ) for repair, modification and upgrades to an Andros MK5a robot system. NASA/KSC intends to purchase the items from Remotec, Inc., out of Clinton, TN, in accordance with the statutory authority U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1). This is a sole-source procurement under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Remotec, Inc. has been identified as the only known responsible source to complete the requirement. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procurement (SAP). This notice of intent is not a request for quotation (RFQ) for competitive quotes. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing fax or email to Mr Rob Wolfinger not later than 2 PM (EST) KSC local time on Monday, October 10, 2005.
