- Description
- The 700th Contracting Squadron and 435th Civil Engineering Squadron are contemplating the solicitation and award of a maintenance, repair, and safety inspection service contract for pop-up barriers (tire shredders), drop-arm barriers, bollard (pole) barriers, and sliding gates in the Kaiserslautern Military Community (KMC), Germany. The contractor shall provide all management, tools, supplies, equipment, and labor necessary to perform safety inspections, preventive maintenance and repair to barriers and sliding gates at Ramstein Air Base, Sembach Air Base, Landstuhl and Vogelweh (Kaiserslautern Military Community), Germany, in a manner that will ensure continuous operation. Every aspect of the service of the barriers and sliding gates shall be performed in accordance with the standards described in the Statement of Work (SOW), which will be made part of the solicitation. The proposed contract type is a Firm-Fixed Price, Indefinite-Delivery Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) contract. The procurement procedures outlined in FAR Part 12 and Subpart 13.5 will be utilized for this acquisition. North American Industry Classification System assigned to this acquisition is 811310. Lowest-Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) procedures will be utilized for this procurement. Award will include the base period, plus four option years. The base period of performance will be from 10 August 2005 through 30 September 2005. All responsible sources meeting the criteria set forth in the request for proposal (RFP) may submit an offer, no later than 22 July 2005, at 5:00 p.m. local German time (GMT +1), in order to be considered by the Government. The RFP package will be available for downloading and viewing at Electronic Posting System (EPS) at http://www.eps.gov on or about 13 July 2005. The RFP package will be available on the Internet only. There will be no hard copies of this solicitation issued. Questions related to this project must be submitted in writing.
