- Rodenticide application to an estimated 6,725 acres of prairie dog colonies using prebait oats and prairie dog bait treated with zinc phosphide rodenticide in designated locations on the Nebraska National Forest system lands in South Dakota including the Buffalo Gap National Grassland and Fort Pierre National Grassland. Interested contractors must have a Commercial Pesticide Applicator License issued by the Division of Agricultural Services, South Dakota Department of Agriculture. The period of performance will be from 11/26/2005 through 1/31/2006. The Government reserves the right to make multiple awards against this solicitation if in it's best interest. Request for Quote procedures will be utilized in the solicitation and award process. The anticipated award date is 11/11/2006. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency. It is anticipated that a solicitation package will be available at this website on or about 10/17/2005. Numbered note 1 applies. **This project is a result of the "Black-tailed Prairie Dog Conservation and Management on the Nebraska National Forest - Final Environmental Impact Statement" (FEIS) signed on August 3, 2005. The FEIS has been appealed and it is possible that it will also be litigated. The Government reserves the right to reject all quotes and cancell this project in it's entirety as a result of any possible litigation that may come from appeals on this project.
