Description
The VA Great Lakes Acquisition Center intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Medcom Inc. for On-line Clinical Education Courses and Services for the VAMC VISN 12, located in IL, WI and MI. To the best of our knowledge the clinical courseware from Medcom Inc. is the only source which meets the requirements for clinical on line learning materials for VISN 12 and is currently compatible and with the existing VISN 12 Online Learning System for distribution of web-based training across the VISN. Currently this interface is programmed by the VISN 12 webmaster, and record completion is tracked within the VISN 12 system for download into TEMPO. User access to the courseware is acquired through log on to the VISN 12 Online Learning System. The courseware is launchable from the within the VISN 12 Online Learning System. Courseware is hosted by the contractor. Host systems and user authentication between the VISN 12 Online Learning System and the contractor currently meets the security requirements of the Veterans Administration. VISN 12 is part of a pilot project to test and implement a new Learning Management System from Plateau. Contractor is an authorized provider of CE/CME?s. Courseware is AICC, SCORM, and Section 508 compliant. Courseware content is relevant to the clinical needs of the VHA and of a complexity adequate to enhance and expand the clinical knowledge of VHA clinical staff. Courseware content is periodically updated to reflect the most current medical practice and principles and content updated by the contractor. Technical support of courseware is provided by the contractor. Questions relevant to course content are addressed by the contractor?s subject matter experts. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitations documents are available and telephone requests will not be honored. However, if a firm believes it can meet the requirements it must furnish information about its products and services, as well as references from other customers who are using these products and service, to the Contracting Officer within (10) calendar days from the date of publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. Information must be sent to the Contracting Officer, VAMC GLAC, 5000 W. National Ave Bldg. 5, Milwaukee WI 53295 or via fax to (414) 902-5440. Responses received will be evaluated however; a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the GLAC will proceed with the sole source negotiation with Medcom Inc..
