Description
The proposed contract is 100% set aside for small business concerns. A FIVE YEAR BASIC INDEFINITE DELIVERY TYPE CONTRACT IS CONTEMPLATED. THE CONTRACT WILL CONSIST OF FOUR SEPARATE NSNS/PARTS. Applicable to B-52 Aircraft Destination: FB2039 Delivery: First Article Required. Production Quantities due in incremental shipments beginning July 2008. Solicitation will provide greater detail. Qualification Requirements: Award will be made only if the offeror, the product/service, or the manufacturer meets qualification requirements at the time of award in accordance with FAR clause 52.209-1. Sources must be qualified prior to being considered for award. The solicitation will contain instructions for obtaining further information on this requirement. The qualification requirements for this item were established prior to 19 Oct 1984 and the requirements of FAR 9.202(A) do not apply. Qualification requirements apply to all line items. THE FOLLOWING DATES ARE APPROXIMATE. CONTRACTORS SHALL REFER TO THE ACTUAL SOLICITATION FOR THE EXACT CLOSING DATE. The approximate issue date of the solicitation will be 24 Oct 2005. The approximate response date of the solicitation will be 28 Nov 2005. The anticipated award date will be 31 Jan 2006. Written and electronic procedure will be used for this solicitation. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential Offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
