- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The Department of the Navy, Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, San Diego (SSC-SD) intends to issue a solicitation to provide services necessary to receive, store, issue, and deliver items from the contractor's facility to any location within the continental US (CONUS) and to airports outside of CONUS (OCONUS), in accordance to the attached Statement of Work (SOW). Approximately 95% of all the shipments have a typical size of 12 by 6 by 4 inches (size of a shoe box) and weigh about 5 pounds (lb). This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is N66001- 06-R-0061 and is issued as a Request For Proposal (RFP). FedEx Express was performing these services under contract SP3100-02-C-0009. The Government contemplates award of a Firm Fixed Price contract resulting from this solicitation. The contract will be for a one-year base period with an additional 4 option years. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 26. The solicitation is for a full and open competition. The applicable primary North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 492110 and the secondary code is 493110. The estimated list of line items, descriptions, quantities and units of measure together with the Contract Data Requirement List (CDRL) is provided as attachment.
