Description
NASA/GSFC is hereby soliciting information about potential sources for Four (4) VIBRATION CONTROL SYSTEMS. See specifications below. Specifications: Must include the following: - 3 low load isolators, load range 400-1100 lbs/each - Universal Interface Controller (UIC) - Cabling: UIC to Isolator length: 50 ft. Isolator to Isolator length: as required to support installation on a 5' x 16' Optic Bench equipped with six isolators - Leveling Jacks: one per isolator Technical Requirements: - Number of isolators: 6 Per Optice Bench - Load capacity per isolator: 400-1100 lbs - Active degrees of freedom: 6 - Active bandwidth 0.6-250 hz - Active resonant frequency: 0.5 hz - Transmissibility at resonance: <1.1 - Passive resonant frequency: >15 hz (vertical) - Magnetic field emitted: <0.02 microgauss - Isolation above 2 hz: >90% - Utilities required: 90-240 volt, 600 watts - Isolator Envelope Size 12.5" x 12.5" x 12.5" high (with leveling jack) No solicitation exists; therefore, do not request a copy of the solicitation. If a solicitation is released it will be synopsized in FedBizOpps and on the NASA Acquisition Internet Service. It is the potential offeror?s responsibility to monitor these sites for the release of any solicitation or synopsis. Vendors having the capabilities necessary to meet or exceed the stated requirements are invited to submit appropriate documentation, literature, brochures, and references. Responses must include the following: name and address of firm, size of business; whether they are large, small, small disadvantaged, 8(a), HUBZone, and/or woman-owned; Technical questions should be directed to Yolanda Williams via e-mail at Yolanda.A.Williams@nasa.gov or via fax at 301-286-9159, no later than October 21, 2005. Please advise if the requirement is considered to be a commercial or commercial-type product. A commercial item is defined in FAR 2.101. This Request For Information (RFI) does not constitute a Request for Proposal, Invitation for Bid, or Request fo Quotation, and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government nor will the Government pay for information solicited. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation. Respondents deemed fully qualified will be considered in any resultant solicitation for the requirement. The Government reserves the right to consider a small business or 8(a) set-aside based on responses hereto. All responses shall be submitted to Yolanda Williams no later than October 27, 2005.
