Description

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal Plant Inspection Services (APHIS), International Services (IS) intends to negotiate a sole-source award with L-3 Communications Security & Detection Systems, Inc., 10 Commerce Way, Woburn, MA 01801 for a Maintenance Service Contract on X-ray equipment - 4 (four) each Model SYS 107?s installed in USDA locations in the Dominican Republic. The NAICS code for this requirement is 811310 with a size standard of $6 million. This is not a competitive request for proposals. APHIS may consider responses to this notice from interested parties to determine whether or not to conduct future competitive procurements. A determination by APHIS to not compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This procurement will be conducted under FAR Part 12, Commercial Procedures.
