The required software monitoring product will be installed on a minimum of four IBM z/990 2084 mainframe systems at the National Computer Center in Baltimore, Maryland and possibly at a second processing site in the future (location currently unknown). The software should meet at minimum, the following salient characteristics of software functionality: 1) Provides host, network, and operator response time, measured in hundredths of a second, for each CICS session; 2) Provides response time and volume statistics for the CICS applications and the logical units (LUs) in session with the applications; 3)Includes software license upgrades and product maintenance support; 4)Runs on all z/OS Central Processing Units / Logical Partitions (LPARS) concurrently; 5) Section 508 Compliant; 6)Provides historical CICS response time and volume statistics data; 7) Provides real time and historical transaction counts, bytes sent, bytes received, inbound Path Information Units (PIUs), and outbound PIUs for each CICS session; 8) Data collected must be formatted as SMF type 28 records to be used by SAS program; 9)Ability to collect data in 15 minute intervals with an option for smaller intervals when needed; and 10) Does not produce any measurable overhead or have a negative impact on mainframe performance. Section 508 Compliancy: Interested vendors must provide verifiable proof in sufficient detail to demonstrate their ability to meet the Agency?s requirement, see URL site http://www.ssa.gov/oag/acq/oagacq_508.htm. Respondents should indicate whether their software is available on GSA Federal Supply Schedules or any other Government-wide Agency Contract (GWAC). Please submit separately product cost and/or pricing data, inclusive of annual maintenance, with your response. This is not a request for proposal and the Government does not intend to pay for information submitted. Respondents will not be notified of any evaluated results from the data received. No contract award will be made on the basis or responses received. However, this information will be used in SSA?s assessment of capable sources.
