Description
NOAA's Marine Operation Center-Pacific has a requirement to provide all supervision, material and labor necessary to perform drydock repairs to the NOAA Vessel John N. Cobb. All work shall be performed at the successful contractor's facility. In order to maintain the ship's saling schedule once dry-dock repairs are complete; the successary contractor must have a facility or access to a drydock facility on the West Coast. Performance is scheduled to commence approximately 11 November 2005 and shall be completed on or before 22 Novenber 2005. The work consists of approximately 10 basic items and 6 optional items. Basic work includes ( subject to change) drydocking the ship, bottom painting, replace running rigging & overhaul blocks, weight testing, replace sewage discharge piping, replace hydraulic piping, net reel bearing, replace fuel oil piping, replace main engine raw water pipe, and utilities ans services. Optional work may include; laydays (one layday), zincs (per 100 lbs. installed) hull seam caulking (100 lineal feet), thermosalinograph replace. The vessel is available for inspection durning normal business hours at the Marine Operations Center, 1801 Fairview Ave East, Seattle, Wa 98102. Vessel characteristics include: length 95 feet - 5 inches; breadth 25 feet - 7 inches; draft forward 9 feet - 4 inches; draft aft 10 feet - 11 inches; displacement 254 tons. Mandatory Clause: The Western Administrative Support Center, Acquisition Management Division, requires that all contractors doing business with this acquisition office must be registered with the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) before October 1, 2003.
