- The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is conducting market research to identify businesses capable of providing filters and specified manpower, transportation and tools necessary to complete the following tasks. Businesses should be regular suppliers of these items and services and must be able to start deliveries within 10-15 days after receipt of the contract to the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center Wade Park Division, 10601 East Blvd, Cleveland, OH 44106.Successful contractors may be required to subcontract to local business to carry out this contract. Tasks are as follows: (1) Metal Cleaning. (a) cleanup construction worksite and grounds. All work must be clean by the end of the day and comply with OSHA requirements. This job covers all material and personnel, equipment, and incidentals necessary to complete the job in a safe and timely manner. (2) Thoroughly remove contaminants from stair tower and skywalk: (a) clean bright to natural color; (b) grain by hand to a uniform satin finish and coat with Sodric; (c) wipe on coating system on the raised portion of the skyway. Skyway surfaces should be clean, dry and free from all contaminants. (3) Architectural Aluminum should be cleaned: (a) Follow American Architectural Manufacturers Association Publication No. AAMA 60993 ? Voluntary Guide Specification for - CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE OF ARCHITECTURAL ANODIZED ALUMINUM, application temperatures should exceed 50F and be less than 90F. Dispose debris off site at the vendors expense; Work to be during normal working hours, 8-4:30:pm Monday thru Friday EST, excluding Federal Holidays; (6This is request for sources sought. The Louis Stokes Cleveland Veterans Administration Medical Center intends to procure goods and services for the above listed items. A determination to compete this proposed contract is based on the responses to this notice is within the discretion of the government. The anticipated date of award is November 10, 2005. Business should respond with their capabilities in writing.
