Description

The U.S. Army RDECOM Acquisition Center  Natick Contracting Division, on behalf of the U.S. Army PM-CIE, is in the process of determining if the following items should be set-aside for small business. This is not a request for proposals; it is stric tly market research to be used by the contracting officer, to assist them in making a determination as to whether or not the proposed acquisition will be set-aside for small business. The items, which are part of the new Generation III Extended Cold Weathe r Clothing System (ECWCS), consists of the following: 1) Wind shirt; 2) Soft Shell Top and Bottom; 3) Hard Shell Top and Bottom; and 4) Loft Jacket and Trousers. Interested small businesses for any of the items above, shall submit information regarding the ir capabilities to manufacture and delivery quality items to the government. Information submitted should include: general information about the small business, production capabilities, experience, and any other relevant information the interested small bu siness feels would assist the contracting officer in making their determination. The NAICS code for these items is 315228, and the business size standard is 500 employees. NOTE: THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL, IT IS MARKET RESEARCH TO MAKE A DETERMINA TION ON WHETHER THE PROPOSED ACQUISITION WILL BE SET-ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESS. See Not 25.
