Description
This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.eps.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting synopses and solicitations to the Internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by NSWC Crane. This is a United States Coast Guard requirement for the 40 Caliber Ammunition listed below. The Government intends to procure Jacketed Hollow Point, Frangible, and Ball ammunition. The minimum quantity of 4,000,000 rounds of each type of ammunition will be purchased at time of award and a Maximum Quantity of 26,000,000 rounds of each type of ammunition can be purchased each year for the 5 year life of the contract. Jacketed Hollow Point Ammunition - Minimum quantity of 4,000,000 and a Maximum Quantity 26,000,000. Frangible Ammunition- minimum quantity of 4,000,000 and a Maximum Quantity 26,000,000, Ball Ammunition- Minimum quantity of 4,000,000 and a Maximum Quantity 26,000,000. This ammunition shall be manufactured In accordance with Government Specifications and drawings. Along with your proposal, a 1,200 round product sample of each ammunition type is required. The specifications and drawings will be included in the solicitation when issued. Military packaging shall be required for these components. Award of a firm-fixed price, 5-year, IDIQ contract is anticipated. Award of separate contracts for each type of 40 caliber ammunition will be considered. Delivery of the minimum quantity is required to begin within 4 months after contract award, and shall be FOB destination. The anticipated delivery locations are NAVSURFWARCENDIV Crane, IN, SEAL BEACH, CA, COLTS NECK, NJ, YORKTOWN, VA, and PORT HADLOCK, WA. Initial Inspection and acceptance will be at source, however, final inspection and acceptance shall be at destination. A safety survey will be required prior to award of the contract to ensure contractor compliance with the requirements of DFARS 252.223-7002 and 252.223-7003. To be eligible for award, contractors must be properly registered in the Government's Central Contractor Registration (CCR). Offerors may obtain information on CCR registration and annual confirmation requirements by calling 1-888-227-2423, or via the Internet @ www.ccr.gov. If a change occurs in this requirement, only tho se offerors that respond to this announcement within the required time frame will be provided any changes/amendments and considered for future discussions and/or award.
