Description

This announcement is for informational purposes only. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with the National Law Enforcement Telecommunications System (NLETS) for the continued computer network access to the Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Division's Law Enforcement Interconnect Facility (LEIF) Program to obtain local, state, and federal law enforcement information, including NCIC for FBI Field Offices and Resident Agencies located throughout the United States. The contract will be negotiated for the current year and four (4) option years. Access to the NCIC is controlled by the individual states. NLETS provides the only authorized access to the NCIC system and is a private entity owned and operated by a consortium of all state criminal agencies.
