Description
The Volpe National Transportation Systems Center (Volpe Center) plans to issue a competitive Request for Quotation (RFQ) in accordance with Simplified Acquisition Procedures, FAR Part 13, for historical documents to be scanned into digital images and uploaded to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration?s (FMCSA) Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) in support of the FMCSA. The scanning shall take place at the contractor?s place of business or other location as determined by the contractor. A detailed Statement of Work (SOW) will be set forth in the RFQ. The RFQ issuance date will be on or about October 31, 2005. The applicable NAICS Code is 541519. The size standard is no more than $21.0M. The solicitation and any document related to this procurement will be available on the Internet; these documents will be available in text format and reside on a WWW server, which may be accessed using Web browsers. The WWW address, or URL, of the Volpe Center Acquisition Division home page is: http://www.volpe.dot.gov/procure/index.html. Offerors desiring to receive electronic notification of the solicitation's posting and availability for downloading may register at the Volpe Center site. Contractors are warned that when they register to receive solicitations, amendments and other notices, the responsibility for providing the Government with an accurate and complete e-mail address lies with the contractor. The Government will not pay for any information received. The following notice is provided for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Bu siness Enterprises. The Department of Transportation (DOT), Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) offers working capital financing in the form of lines of credit to finance accounts receivable for transportation related contracts. Maximum line of credit is $750,000 with interest at the prime rate, as published daily in the Wall Street Journal, plus 1.75 percent.
