Description
Sources Sought Synopsis for a Complete High Temperature Modular Wear System This is a Sources Sought Synopsis to determine the capability and availability of commercial sources to provide a complete High Temperature Modular Wear System in accordance with the Minimum Requirements document posted at . The government intends to award a commercial purchase order for this item pursuant to FAR Part 13.5. A solicitation has NOT been issued and proposals or quotations are NOT being requested. Only capability packages are being requested at this time. RESPONSES ARE DUE NO LATER THAN MONDAY, 24 OCTOBER 2005. The item to be procured is one each High Temperature Modular Wear System. The system shall include all components necessary for complete system operation, including load frame, wear fixture, high temperature furnace system, electronic controls and equipment, cables, plumbing, all necessary fittings and connectors, on-site installation, calibration, and on-site training, in accordance with the minimum specifications posted at http://www.pixs.wpafb.af.mil/. This source sought synopsis is for market research purposes only and does not constitute a Request for Quote or Request for Proposal. It is not considered to be a commitment by the Government nor will the Government pay for information solicited. No basis for claim against the Government shall arise as a result from a response to this Sources Sought Notice or Government use of any information provided. The Government reserves the right to consider any business arrangement as deemed appropriate for this procurement. After it has been determined that there are enough contractors interested in this requirement, a synopsis will be posted for proposals. The NAICS Code for this requirement is 334519. The size standard is 500 employees. Capabilities Package: All interested firms should submit a capabilities package that outlines their firm?s capabilities to provide the required system. The capabilities package should include, at a minimum, your company information, your business size relevant to this NAICS code, point of contact, and detailed technical information indicating your capability of providing a High Temperature Modular Wear System that will meet or exceed the minimum requirements listed. Any contractors that do not provide adequate information will not be reviewed for this sources sought. RESPONSES THAT MERELY STATE THEY CAN PROVIDE THE REQUIRED EQUIPMENT WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED ADEQUATE AND WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED AS VIABLE SOURCES FOR THE PURPOSES OF THIS SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS.
