Description

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), Patuxent River, St. Inigoes, MD intends to issue a Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity, Firm Fixed Price, Contract for the duration of three years with Vital Systems Corporation, 4999 Aircenter Circle, Suite 101, Reno, Nevada 89502, to provide electronic circuit boards, enclosures and components for AN/PX-36(V) and C-12673/UPX system components. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR Part 6.302-1, only one responsible source. Vital Systems Corporation currently possess the proprietary data rights to the drawings for the required electronic circuit boards, enclosures, and components. Vital Systems Corporation is the only known company that possesses the required knowledge, and expertise required to provide the essential equipment and spare parts with the compatibility and interchangeability necessary for immediate integration into existing systems. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST OF COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. Interested parties may submit information, no later than 30 days after this synopsis is published, which will be considered by this agency. A determination not to compete this proposed procurement action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Hardware to be provided under the proposed Contract will span a period of three years tentatively beginning date of award. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this action is 334418, size-standard of 500 employees.
